Children can take them out of the drawing board to write a friend’s name and then put them back on when they are done. It is also fun to add image patterns and you can often find them to match the holidays and themes. Find writing opportunities that strengthen the bond between home and school. For example, encourage families to create books at home on a specific topic or theme. Invite the children to share their books with the class, then add them to the library. Provide specific instructions for teachers to teach children to write.
